Skin or Epidermis Damage

= large pores, deep wrinkles, uneven pigmentation

This is the largest organ in our body and when assaulted with UVA / UVB rays, environmental toxins, and smoking the following changes are accelerated: increase in pore size, thickening or even thinning of the skin, deep wrinkles and pigmentation. Typically these these issues are noticed at or around the age of 30 and progress as we age.

Collagen and Elastin Loss

= drooping brows, laugh lines, jowls, thin lips

Loss of collagen causes loss of elasticity, which in turn causes wrinkles, lines and loose, sagging skin. When young and elastic, the skin has support and naturally contours the face with out any droopiness or sagging. As skin ages, it produces less collagen / elastin and begins to droop, no longer contouring the face.

Fat Loss

= sunken cheeks and temples, under eye hollows and bags

Facial fat loss can cause the face to look hollow, skeletal and saggy. Similar to a slowly deflating balloon, facial skin deflation is followed by skin descent.

= under-eye bags, a soft jawline, a double chin, a turkey neck

2. If you’re traveling, air on air planes has even less humidity than a desert so be sure to use lots of moisturizer. Also, avoid hot showers and baths as they deplete the skin’s natural oils (make sure to pat your skin dry).
