Muffin Top

A “muffin top” refers to the area of excess fat or skin that hangs over the waistband of tight-fitting pants or skirts, typically around the lower abdomen and hips. This term is often used to describe a soft, bulging effect that resembles the way a muffin’s top might spill over the edge of its paper cup. While it’s a common issue for many people, it is more likely to occur when clothing is snug around the waist and hips, accentuating any extra fat in that area.
