Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition characterized by redness, visible blood vessels, and sometimes bumps or pustules, primarily affecting the face. It often begins as a tendency to blush or flush easily and can progress to persistent redness and irritation. The cause of rosacea is unknown, but it is believed to be a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Certain triggers, such as sun exposure, spicy foods, alcohol, and stress can exacerbate the condition.

Rosacea most commonly affects Fitzpatrick 1 and 2 and particularly those aged 30 to 50, but it can occur in people of any skin type. Women are more frequently affected than men, although men tend to experience more severe symptoms. Early diagnosis and management can help control the symptoms and prevent the condition from worsening.
