WHAT IS ENLIGHTEN TATTOO REMOVAL?

The Enlighten tattoo removal machine is a newer model of tattoo removal systems that allows for better results in fewer sessions. The Enlighten system uses 3 wavelengths of light in nanosecond and picosecond pulse timing. It can remove deeper ink than any other laser, and can remove any color ink on all skin tones. The tattoo pigment absorbs the laser energy and is broken up into smaller and smaller particles, which are absorbed into the body and eliminated.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ENLIGHTEN TATTOO REMOVAL?

The Enlighten system is the first machine on the market to feature both nanosecond and picosecond speeds, which add to its efficiency. It is also the first machine on the market to offer 3 different laser wavelengths (532, 1064, 670 nm). The high power and ultra-short pulse durations are also able to shatter targeted pigment without causing damage to the surrounding tissue.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU GET ENLIGHTEN DONE?

Patients will need a series of treatments done a number of weeks apart before seeing the final results. The number of treatments will vary from patient to patient, and will differ depending on the size and color of the tattoo. Your technician will discuss treatments during your consultation.

HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?

After all treatments are complete and the tattoo is no longer visible, the results are permanent. There will not be a need to have the treatment done again!

WHAT DOES THE ENLIGHTEN LASER DO?

The Enlighten laser works to break down the tattoo pigment into smaller particles that can be broken down and absorbed by the body. As a result of the advanced technology used by Enlighten, pigment and tattoos can be removed in less time, with less pain. This treatment also requires less treatments in order to achieve the desired result, and is able to do so with less risk of scarring as a result of the speed at which the laser emits wavelengths.

HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR ENLIGHTEN TATTOO REMOVAL?

Your technician will apply a topical numbing cream to the area being treated before treatment to minimize pain levels. It is important to shave the area being treated prior to the treatment if applicable. Also, avoid any type of tanning 2 weeks prior to treatment, and 2 weeks after the treatment. If the area being treated will be exposed to sunlight, it is important to apply sunscreen liberally as the laser will make the area more sensitive to sunlight.
