Lip Filler Injections

Lip augmentation most commonly known as lip fillers is a treatment used with hyaluronic acid to increase the size of one’s lips. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the body as it is naturally produced biologically. The results of lip injections, generally, tend to look natural and are naturally dissolved and absorbed by the body within 6 to 12 months, depending on the type of filler used. 

Lip fillers are a non surgical procedure that aims to create volume and shape, as well as restore hydration and can reshape lips with signs of aging. Filler will naturally dissolve into the body as time passes; each patient will dissolve fillers at different paces. Some patients will just have annual appointments, while others may need to come 2-3 times per year to achieve and maintain their desired lips.

It is recommended that patients do not do strenuous exercise, avoid high temperature rooms, avoid alcohol, smoking, and caffeine, do not drink through a straw, and avoid putting on lipstick for at least 24-48 hours after receiving lip injections. It is also important to avoid blood-thinning medications such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Motrin as these can cause bruising or swelling in the treatment area.
